Together with construction consortium B.S.L. Infra, construction supervision representatives PA Prointec and SIA Forma 2, design author’s supervision company Prosiv representatives opened one of the most important projects for the improvement of Latvia’s infrastructure – EDZL Rail Baltica RIX Terminal construction site. The Rail Baltica project is an important step in improving the infrastructure, as it will combine a modern and multifunctional passenger service complex with the airport infrastructure, which will offer new travel opportunities for passengers. The start of the Rail Baltica construction process is proof that the project is moving forward, where within 5 years we can expect more comfortable movement for residents of Latvia and also people of neighboring countries. Tālis Linkaits, Minister for Transport, stated that “Modern railway infrastructure, modern station and connectivity will provide an opportunity not only to develop aviation, cargo handling and logistics services, but will also promote the development of business centers, office buildings and hotels around the airport in the future.”
